Wieden+Kennedy approached Firstborn with the opportunity to design and develop the global site for Nokia’s "Music Almighty" campaign. Needless to say we were thrilled to sign on as the interactive partner. The site not only showcases the latest Nokia handsets, but it also provides users with access to a diverse catalog of tunes via Nokia’s virtual music store.
After choosing from an eclectic mix of artists and genres, users can simply plug in to one of the featured Nokia handsets and watch the animated 3D headphones come to life with each new track. Whether the user wants to listen with a pair of growling tigers or rock out with flame-throwing jet pipes, Nokia’s virtual product line truly has something for everyone.
In addition, we were able to give users the opportunity to take their personal Nokia experience to the next level. Upon entering the site, users can create a customized avatar with which they become the star of their own private concert. After soaking up the spotlight, visitors can then share their 15 seconds of fame with a simple send-to-friend email application or by posting the video on Facebook. Feeling like a rock star?
