Ad Age picks up Redken Stylestation

More than a third of hair stylists have smartphones, according to a survey by Redken. The hair-care brand has created an app that professional stylists can use to access formulas, create lookbooks and consult with clients.

Created out of Firstborn, Stylestation, which is available via iTunes and the Android Store, also provides stylists with mobile access to Breakroom, a social network where they can share ideas and looks. And it has a handy alarm tool for several clients at once, so hair doesn’t fry.
